Womens Shooting Clinic
The goal is to teach safe shot gunning and to help women understand a little more about Upland Game Hunting in general. All equipment will be provided; A 12 gauge or 20 gauge shotgun if you forgot yours, lunch, beverages, 12 gauge or 20 gauge shotgun shells, ear protection, eye protection, birds for the wing shooting session, additional targets for practice, and qualified instructors. If you have a need for other than 12 gauge or 20 gauge shot shells, please let us know.

You should bring a sweater or light jacket, sunscreen, a good hat for shade from the sun, comfortable walking shoes, tennis shoes, or boots, your shot gun if available, and yourself. Please do not wear open toed shoes! We will be firing live ammunition with shotguns in the field! Please let us know if you need shot gun shells other than 12 gauge or 20 gauge.
There is space available for overnight guests if anyone wants to stay overnight. We can also focus the clinic on wing shooting or we can extend the course to encompass two days of instruction. The cost for the Womens Shotgun Clinic is $250.00 per day.

Clinic Schedule and Topics

Classroom session on basic gun safety and shooting techniques.

10:00 AM - Noon
|
Hands on instruction at one of our shooting courses with all targets and shotgun shells provided. Each class will be limited to 8 Ladies per instructor while on the range.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
|
Lunch on the green prepared by one our great Chefs.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
|
Basic instruction and philosophy on upland and waterfowl hunting.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
|
Field care, cleaning, and preparation of your bag. Includes kitchen session and recipes for great game dishes.

4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
|
Instruction in the field with your dog or a borrowed dog in an actual hunting situation with game provided.
As an alternative for those who prefer more shooting practice we will make the Sporting Clay Range and Instructors available.

Group or Individual Shooting Clinics
The shooting clinic described above can be tailored to suit any individual or group and can be coupled with an in the field seminar about hunting birds in the field and using dogs to flush and retrieve. All we need to do is to set it up!
